Juliana Lopes Rangel Fietto

Undergraduated in Pharmacy from the Federal University of Ouro Preto (1995), PhD in Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo (2001), postdoctoral degree at the Federal University of Ouro Preto (2002-2003) and at the Universté Laval in 2019/2020 (Québec, QC, Canada). She is titular professor and researcher at Federal University of Viçosa (http://www.dbb.ufv.br/). She is the PI of the research group "Biochemistry Applied to Bioproducts" UFV and coordinator of the Lab LIMA (http://www.lima.ufv.br/). She is a CNPq fellow Level 2 in Technological Development and Innovative Extension. she was Vice President of the Brazilian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SBBq- 2020-2022). She works in the area of #8203;#8203;Biotechnology and Biochemistry, with emphasis on molecular biology, recombinant protein production and biotechnological applications, enzyme biochemistry and cell biology, focused on human and animal infectious diseases. He works mainly on the following topics: ENTPDases from trypanosomatids that cause neglected tropical diseases (leishmaniasis and Chagas disease), rational search for new targets for drug design, development of diagnostic kits, biopharmaceuticals and immunobiologicals from recombinant proteins.
