Joao Tito Borges

He has worked in the area of #8203;#8203;environment and sanitation since 1993. He worked for Aquatec Química S. A. (now GE Environment) and Brahma in S. Paulo and SKOL Guarulhos (now AMBEV). Chemist at UFSCAR (1986), Master and Doctor in Sanitation and Environment Civil Engineering (UNICAMP 2002). He is currently a Collaborating Researcher at FEC-UNICAMP. He was leader of a team of consultants and researchers in the environmental area of #8203;#8203;FUCAPI in Manaus for 7 years. Professor in the Environmental Science and Sustainability Program in the Amazon (PPG-CASA) at UFAM for 11 years. He has experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Sanitary Engineering, with emphasis on Advanced Water Treatment Techniques and development of products and processes for treating effluents and environmental management. Consultant trained in Cleaner Production (P + L). Works on the following topics: consultancy in occupational hygiene, environmental management, sanitation and water. He was awarded three times for projects in the area of #8203;#8203;sustainability (Samuel Benchimol Award 2004, 2007, 2009) and has two patents in the areas of water. He coordinated several projects and works with multidisciplinary teams in the areas of effluents, water, solid waste and carried out a water balance at Petrobras in Manaus-AM. Professor of Occupational Hygiene, Water Treatment, Wastewater Treatment, Cleaner Production, Environmental Management and Solid Waste. Taught more than forty specialization courses in the areas of occupational hygiene and the environment. He has supervised more than sixty undergraduate and graduate students and nine master's students.Worked in the area of #8203;#8203;environmental consultancy in the area of #8203;#8203;Control and Monitoring Policies for Industrial Pollution PCCI-IPAAM and environmental impact study for the licensing of PROSAMIM in 2003 and prepared environmental impact studies for PROSAI-Maués, mining companies, composing teams of consultants in the area in Manaus.
