Graduated in Chemical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio Grande Foundation (1986), Master's in Food Engineering and Science from the Federal University of Rio Grande Foundation (1998), Ph.D. and post-doctorate in Chemical Engineering from the State University of Campinas (2003) . He has experience in the chemical industry working as a process engineer. He is currently an associate professor at the Center for Engineering and Exact Sciences at the State University of Western Paraná (Unioeste), Toledo campus. He is a permanent researcher-professor of the Graduate Program in Bioenergy (Association in Network). He develops Research and Extension activities related to the following topics: Development of fermentation processes for adding value to agro-industry residues, obtaining important metabolites such as volatile fatty acids, enzymes. Projects related to obtaining natural antioxidants, in addition to Biofuels (biodiesel and 2nd generation ethanol) and work aimed at process simulation and optimization. He teaches the subjects of Transport Phenomena, Chemical Engineering Laboratory, Co-Product Use, and Statistical Design of Experiments. He is leader of the Research Group "Biotechnological Processes and Environment". Member of the Research Group on Technological Innovations for Innovative Territorial Development - "GPINOVA".
