Fabio Di Dario is Associate Professor IV at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), working at the Institute of Biodiversity and Sustainability - NUPEM/UFRJ, of which he has been Vice-Director since June 2022. He has a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Institute of Biosciences of USP (1996), Master's and Doctorate in Zoology from the Biosciences Institute of USP (1999 and 2005), and Post-Doctorate at the Museum of Zoology of USP (2006-2007). Between 2002 and 2003 he was a Pre-Doctoral Fellow at the National Museum of Natural History, Smithsonian Institution (USNM), in Washington, DC. He has experience in Zoology, with an emphasis on Systematics, Morphology, Evolution, Biogeography and Fish Conservation. He is a Master's and Doctorate advisor in the Graduate Program on Environmental Sciences and Conservation (PPG-CiAC) at the NUPEM/UFRJ Institute, in the Greater Interdisciplinary Area of #8203;#8203;CAPES, and is also a supervisor in the Graduate Program in Zoology (PPGZoo) at National Museum, UFRJ. Between 2014 and 2020 he was coordinator of PPG-CiAC, having been Deputy Director of Graduate Support at NUPEM/UFRJ between 2018 and 2022. He is a member of the Deliberative Council of the Brazilian Society of Ichthyology (SBI), and is part of the Study Group of Deep Ocean Fish (GEOPROF) and the Systematics and Evolutionary Biology Group (GSE), both CNPq Research Groups. He is the curator of the Fish Collection at the NUPEM/UFRJ Institute (NPM), and works in Extension and Scientific Dissemination. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
