Graduated in Biological Sciences at Universidade de São Paulo (USP), with MSc degree at the Departamento de Genética e Biologia Evolutiva da USP (population genetics of fruit flies of the species Anastrepha fraterculus), PhD degree in the same department (evolution and biogeography of the species of toucans, genus Ramphastos), and conducted Post-Doctoral research at the Laboratório de Ecologia e Evolução, Instituto Butantan (phylogeography of Bothrops jararaca populations). He is presently a research collaborator at the Laboratório de Parasitologia do Instituto Butantan, at Instituto Butantan. His experience includes Genetics and Evolution (emphasis in Phylogeography, Phylogenetics, Molecular Evolution, Systematics and Evolution of reptiles and birds), Bioinformatics (using, creating and testing evolutionary models; simulation tests for simulated/non-simulated data), Programming Languages (Basic, C, C++, Groovy, Java, Pascal, Perl, Python, Ruby, Scala, R and MatLab), and Biogeography.
