Researcher and consultant in Social Sciences, having being a scholar from "Recem-Doutorado" Program at the University of Campinas (2000-2002), having PhD and MS in Political Science from the University of São Paulo (1995 and 1999 respectively) and being a Bachelor in Journalism from the Catholic University of Minas Gerais (1990). She has been a Fullbright Visiting Scholar at the University of California, San Diego (1997-1998). She has been a Lecturer at the Graduate School of International Area Studies at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (2007) and a Visiting Teacher at the University of Brasilia (2004-2006). She has been teaching undergraduate and graduate courses at Universidade de Brasilia and University of Campinas (2000-2002), being the advisor of Master's thesis funded by FAPESP. She has been a scientific consultant in the Research Support Foundation of São Paulo- FAPESP (2001-2005) and worked as well for the Brazilian Journal of Social Sciences (2002-2009). She has published three books and some articles related to justice issues, rights, politics, democracy, civil society participation, children and adolescents. She has served as Specialist on Formulation, Planning, Management and Monitoring of International Policy at the Ministry of Social Development and Fight Against Hunger (MDS), with intervention in the international actions of Brazil in the food and nutritional security area (2013-2014). As consultant to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), she has conducted an international study on social non-contributory benefits whose results contributed to the International Congress of the Continuous Cash Benefit - BPC (2010). She is the author of a Special Report on Food and Nutritional Security Policies in Latin America, prepared as a consultant for the Regional Office of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Chile. She has been also a consultant for the XII United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention (2010), working for the Criminal Justice for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). She has been consultant to the United Nations Population Fund for the coordination of a national survey on AIDS area and population (2004). She has worked in the project design of a book on relations between South Korea and Portugal to the Institute East, Technical College Lisbon (2009). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
