Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Escola Politécnica (EP) (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal) Birthplace: Brazil
Holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the Institute of Physics at the University of São Paulo (USP, 1994), a Master's degree (1997), and a Ph.D. (2008) in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on Microelectronics from the Polytechnic School of USP. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship (2023) in Theoretical Chemistry at the Department of Chemistry of the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), working on the development of computational routines based on stochastic methods with controlled stochasticity for simulating chemical kinetics with and without chirality. Collaborates with the Theoretical Chemistry Group (QuiTeo/UFSCar) and with researchers from the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (DEBE/UFSCar). Served as a faculty member at the Department of Sciences (DCI) at the State University of Maringá (UEM) from 2014 to 2023 and is currently a professor at the Department of Technology (DTC/UEM). Develops outreach and extension activities focused on experimental and computational physics education, aimed at high school teachers and students. Research interests include the application of Monte Carlo methods to the simulation of chemical kinetics mechanisms and population dynamics. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
