Cristiana Silveira Serejo

She holds a degree in Biological Sciences from Gama Filho University (1989), a master's degree in Biological Sciences (Zoology) - Museu Nacional/UFRJ (1995), a PhD in Biological Sciences (Zoology) from the University of São Paulo (2001) and a post-doctorate (1 year) at the Australian Museum (2004). She is currently a Full Professor at the Museu Nacional/UFRJ working in the Postgraduate Program in Biological Sciences (Zoology) of the Museu Nacional. She is a member of the Brazilian Society of Carcinology (SBC) and the Brazilian Society of Zoology (SBZ). She has experience in Zoology working mainly in systematics and evolution of Crustacea, with emphasis on the Superorder Peracarida (Amphipoda, Isopoda, Cumacea and Tanaidacea). She is the author and collaborator of 72 articles published in indexed journals, 13 book chapters, editor of 2 books and collaborator of the recent "Good Practices for Brazilian Scientific Collections" Scielo Books. She works as editor of some Amphipoda groups of the World Register of Marine Species (http://www.marinespecies.org/) and is associate editor of the Scientific Journal Nauplius. Between 2014-2018 she was coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Biological Sciences (Zoology) of the Museu Nacional/UFRJ, which received a grade 6 in CAPES. Between 2014-2017 she served as focal point at the Museu Nacional do Sistema sobre a Biodiversidade Brasileira (http://www.sibbr.gov.br/). In March 2018, she assumed the position of Vice-Director of the National Museum/UFRJ and later (09/2019 to the present) assumed the position of Deputy Director of Collections at the MN.
