Luciana Pereira is an Associate Professor of Public Policy at the Center for Engineering, Modeling, and Applied Social Sciences (CECS) at the Federal University of ABC (UFABC). She leads the ABC Observatory on Health and Living Well, a strategic research initiative at UFABC. Luciana supervises students in the Graduate Programs in Public Policy and Engineering and Innovation Management, and serves as the Adjunct Coordinator of the Continuous Education Program on Education in Human Rights. Additionally, she contributes to the interdisciplinary undergraduate programs in Science and Humanities (BCH), Science and Technology (BCT), and Public Policy (BPP).Her research is interdisciplinary, focusing on the design and development of innovative systemsboth technological and socialthat promote human well-being and socio-environmental protection. Luciana holds a Habilitation, a PhD, and a Masters degree in Production Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (EPUSP), and a Bachelors degree in Economics from the Faculty of Sciences and Languages at São Paulo State University (FCLAr/Unesp/Araraquara). She completed postdoctoral research at the Innovation and Competitiveness Observatory at USP and Columbia University in New York, as well as a doctoral exchange at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
