Full Professor with exclusive dedication at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), a CNPq Productivity Fellow (PQ-2), and the current Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Civil Engineering - PPGEC (CAPES Grade 6) since 2022. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering (UPE, 2000), a Master's (2002), a PhD (2007), and a postdoctoral fellowship (2008) from the University of São Paulo (USP).His research focuses on waste valorization for the development of low-carbon cements. He has extensive experience with industrial by-products, including slags, biomass ash, and sludge from treatment plants (water, wastewater, and textile). He leads studies on supplementary cementitious materials (SCMs), LC cements, blast furnace slag activation, geopolymers, and the development of new materials, using advanced tools for microstructural characterization and computational modeling with artificial intelligence for material optimization.
