Katia Christina Ribas

Graduated in Biology (Biologic Sciences) (Botucatu) at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1990), Master in Biologic Sciences (Botany) at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1993), Doctor in Biologic Sciences (Botany) at the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (1997) and Post Doctor in Plant Physiology at Università di Pisa, Italia (2009). At the moment is Full Professor with the rank of ?Professor Titular? (2015) at the Department of Botany of the Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR), where coordinates the GEPE (Research and Study Group on Cutting - ?Grupo de Estudo e Pesquisa em Estaquia?) since its foundation in 2003. Is Full Professor at the Post-Graduation Program in Agronomy and Plant Production (PGAPV), orienting in the areas of Physiology, Morphogenesis and Biotechnology. Coordinates GEPE, registered at CNPq, maintaining cooperations with Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (EMBRAPA), both with the unities of EMBRAPA Florestas in Colombo-PR and EMBRAPA Agroenergia in Brasilia-DF. CNPq fellow and researcher level II from 2008 to 2011, from 2012 to 2015 and from 2015 to 2018. CNPq fellow and researcher level I D from 2018 to 2022. CNPq fellow and researcher level II since 2022. Has experience in Plant Physiology, specialized in plant propagation, rhizogenesis induction, use of plant growth regulators, rejuvenation, early flowering induction, among others related to native species propagation aiming reforestation of degraded areas, besides propagation of fruit, medical and ornamental species.
