Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). Campus de Araraquara. Instituto de Química (IQ)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Prof. Ricardo H. M. Godoi has established a distinguished interdisciplinary academic career at the interface of chemistry and environmental sciences. He graduated in Chemistry from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP) in 1993, subsequently obtaining his Master's (1996) and PhD (2000) in Physical Chemistry at the same institution, including a sandwich doctorate period at the University of Barcelona (UB), Spain. He conducted postdoctoral research at the University of Antwerp, Belgium (20012005), and served as a visiting researcher at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, USA (20152016).Currently, he is a full Professor in the Environmental Engineering program at the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR), Curitiba, and has been a CNPq Research Productivity Fellow since 2005. His scientific involvement includes significant national and international initiatives, notably his participation in the National Institute of Science and Technology for Antarctic and Global Climate Change (INCT PROANTAR/CNPq), the Brazil-USA collaborative project "Green Ocean Amazon 2014/15 (GOAmazon2014)," and the German-Brazilian project "Amazon Tall Tower Observatory (ATTO)." He is also currently affiliated with two National Institutes of Science, Technology, and Innovation: "ATTO Equilibrium Connecting Symbiotic Systems in the Amazon" and "IN2PAST-BR National Institute for Research in Natural History, Cultural Heritage, Arts, Sustainability, and Territory."Prof. Godoi is also a member of the Research and Innovation Arrangement (NAPI) on Climate Emergencies, funded by the Araucária Foundation, where he coordinates Axis 4, dedicated to the study of atmospheric pollution. In terms of university extension, Prof. Godoi coordinates educational projects aimed at teaching atmospheric pollution in elementary schools in Curitiba, in collaboration with Environmental Engineering students, aiming to disseminate scientific knowledge and promote environmental awareness. His research encompasses interdisciplinary areas within Applied and Environmental Chemistry, focusing primarily on global climate change, atmospheric chemistry of gases and aerosols, urban air quality (indoor and outdoor environments), human exposure to carcinogenic and mutagenic atmospheric pollutants, and impacts of atmospheric pollution on historical-cultural heritage. Prof. Godoi also conducts studies in Physical Chemistry, Colloid Chemistry, and Materials Chemistry, utilizing advanced analytical techniques for trace analysis in environmental samples and various materials.Throughout his scientific career, Prof. Godoi has authored over a hundred publications in international scientific journals, accumulating over 2,000 citations (Web of Science) and an H-index of 26. He has also contributed to 12 chapters in internationally published books, highlighting the international scope and relevance of his research. Since 2019, he has been a member of the editorial board of the journal Environmental Geochemistry and HealthFor further information, please visit:Lab-Air Laboratory for Air Quality Analysis: https://labair.ufpr.brORCID: http://orcid.org/0000-0002-4774-4870Scopus Author ID: 6603545563Leader of the Research Group "Technology and Environmental Sciences TCA": dgp.cnpq.br/dgp/espelhogrupo/767819131651729 (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
