I have a degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Paraíba - UFPB (1992), and a postgraduate degree in Zoology (UFPB), with a PhD in Sciences (Zoology) from the University of São Paulo - USP (2003). I did research on systematics and phylogeny of Crustacea Decapoda and surveys and description of the biodiversity of groups of Neotropical fauna. Recently, I have been working in the consulting area, with emphasis on studies and management of wild fauna for licensing and environmental conservation. I also work in the elaboration and execution of Environmental Recovery Projects (PRAD). I participated in projects on the diversity of marine non-vertebrate animals in the Northeast, with special reference to the fauna of the state of Paraíba. In recent actions, I also worked in the survey of the fauna of the semi-arid region of Paraíba due to biodiversity studies. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
