I have a BA in Philosophy from the University of São Paulo (1993), an MA in Philosophy from the University of São Paulo (1997), and a PhD in Philosophy from the University of São Paulo (2002). I was a visiting researcher at the University of Berkeley, California (2015-2016). I am currently Associate Professor of Modern Political Theory in the Department of Political Science at the University of São Paulo. I have devoted myself to the study of the following topics and authors: Machiavelli, Hobbes, Levellers, Montesquieu; Mary Wollstonecraft; liberalism and liberty; republic and republicanism; sovereignty and constitution; political passions; citizenship. I am a researcher associated with CEDEC and a participant in the project Pro-Humanities, Democracy, Development (CNPq). I am a mother of three children. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
