PhD Teacher (2008) at Instituto de Artes, at State University of São Paulo, Master (1983) and Doctor (1989) in Fine Arts at University of São Paulo ( (Communications and Arts School), bachelor in Drawing and Visual Arts at Faculdade de Belas Artes de São Paulo (1975), Teacher at undergraduation, master´s and doctor´s levels. Experience in Arts, focusing on Painting, Art History, author of 25 books on Brazilian art themes, specialist in baroque period, acts on the following subjects: Brazilian art, Cultural and Artistic Heritage, Religious Art and Architecture. As an artist himself, has been painting since 1975, has taken part at 2 Sao Paulo Biennial Art International, in individual exhibitions at Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Rome. As an art curator, has been working in conception and curatorship at different museums, mainly in baroque art. Since 1987, creator and coordinator of Baroque Live Memory, an extension group of studies on Brazilian baroque, as well as Visual Artes Programm, an extensive archive of images and information on Fine Arts and Architecture.
