Maria da Conceição Ferreira de Oliveira

Full Professor at the Department of Organic and Inorganic Chemistry at the Federal University of Ceará (UFC); Level 2 CNPq Researcher; Coordinator of Entrepreneurship at UFC; Deputy Director of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the UFC Technology Park; Member of the FUNCAP Business Innovation Chamber (CIE); Co-founder of the startup 4WBIOTECH; Chair of the ACS Brazil Chapter (2025); Holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry (BSc) from the Regional University Foundation of Blumenau. Holds a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from UFC and a Doctorate in Chemistry from UNICAMP. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Arizona (Tucson, AZ, USA); Served as a Senior Visiting Professor at the Australian National University (ANU, Canberra, Australia) through the CAPES-Print program (Process: 8888.311918/2018-00). With an academic background in Natural Products (Master's) and Organic Synthesis (PhD), she conducts research in the UFC Graduate Program in Chemistry (CAPES, level 6) focusing on Natural Products and Biocatalysis. She has supervised numerous theses, dissertations, and postdoctoral internships, as well as undergraduate research projects. She got finantial support for various projects through agencies such as FUNCAP, CAPES, and CNPq. Participated in international collaboration projects, including CAPES-DGU (Brazil-Spain), CAPES-COFECUB (Brazil-France), CNPq-PVE (Brazil-USA and Brazil-Italy), and CAPES-Print (Brazil-Australia). Former Vice Coordinator of the UFC Chemistry Graduate Program and Coordinator of the UFC Graduate Program in Organic Chemistry.
