Graduated in Oceanography from the Federal University of Rio Grande (1988), master's degree in Oceanography (Biological Oceanography) from the University of São Paulo (1997), doctorate in Aquiculture from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho (2001) and postdoctoral fellow in Auburn University - EUA (2016) when he received a scholarship from Capes, having completed a Senior Internship abroad. He is currently Full Professor at the Federal University of Vales do Jequitinhonha and Mucuri - Campus JK, where he is Leader of the Research Group (CNPq) Aquatic Ecology and Aquaculture. He has experience in the area of Fisheries Resources and Fisheries Engineering, with an emphasis on Aquaculture, acting mainly on the following themes: larviculture, native species, intensive system and limnology.
