Chemical engineer at State University of Campinas (UNICAMP - 1979). Master in chemical engineering at São Paulo University (USP - 1989). Doctor in chemical engineering at State University of Campinas (UNICAMP - 1994). Professional experience: 36 years in development of polymers, plasturgy and composites. Development of new products, start-up and optimizations of industrial plants and team leadership in multinational enterprises. Development from polymerization and spinning processes of synthetic and artificial fibers (PAN, cellulose acetate). Formulation of engineering plastics based on polyamides and polyesters. Actuation on aeronautical industry: selection and development of thermoset and thermoplastic composites aiming application at aeronautical structures. Composites manufacturing process selection: automatic lamination processes (ATL and AFP), resin infusion processes (RTM, VaRTM and RFI) and heated conformation processes. Development of protection against high energy impacts. Prospective studies in new materials and related processes, as for example: nano-structured composites and polymers based on bezoxazine family. Expertise: a) Development of industrial applications for new polymers and related processes. b) Optimization of industrial plants for polymer production. c) Expertise in project management (PMP). d) Design of experiments (DOE). e) Development of composite materials and applications at aeronautical structures.
