Lilian Lemos de Souza

Professor at the Federal University of Technology Paraná (UTFPR, 2013), Dois Vizinhos (DV) campus, and Permanent Faculty Member of the Graduate Program in Scientific, Educational, and Technological Training (PPGFCET, 2024) at UTFPR, Curitiba (CT) campus. She holds a technical degree in Industrial Informatics from the Federal Technical School of São Paulo (ETFSP-Uned Cubatão, 1996), a Licentiates degree in Mathematics from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar, 2003), a Masters degree in Electrical Engineering (Control and Automation in Agriculture) from the School of Engineering of São Carlos at the University of São Paulo (EESC-USP, 2006), a Ph.D. in Agronomy (Crop Production/Plant Protection) from UTFPR (PPGAG, 2019), and a postgraduate specialization in Data Science (UTFPR, 2022). She is the founder and leader of GruCoPEM (Collaborative Group for Plural Research and Multidisciplinary Studies Collaborative Group for Research and Studies in Mathematics), a researcher at GPEAT (Research Group on Environmental Education: a transatlantic construction), and active in the UTFPRs Green Rooms initiative (an initiative endorsed by the Ministry of the Environment, awarded to UTFPR: DV campus, 2013; CT campus, 2025). She was part of the team for the VAMOS Latin American and European Collaboration on Education for Sustainable Development Program (2021-2022), which seeks to innovate Education for Sustainability within Distance Learning (DL) frameworks through a consortium of institutions from Brazil, Honduras, Italy, Spain, and Sweden, funded by the Erasmus+ Program. She coordinated (2013-2015) the Institutional Teaching Initiation Scholarship Program for Diversity (PIBID Diversidade) in Natural Sciences and Mathematics within the Field Education Teaching Program at UTFPR. She worked in private Higher Education Institutions (2011-2012) and was an item developer and reviewer (2012-2013) for the Anísio Teixeira National Institute for Educational Studies and Research (INEP). She also worked in Basic Education (2004-2012) as a teacher in elementary, secondary, and youth and adult education (EJA) and served as a Pedagogical Coordinator (2008-2009).
