She has a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Piauí (1991), a master's degree in Agronomy (1997) and a doctorate in agronomy (2001), both with a concentration in Genetics and Plant Breeding from the Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho, Jaboticabal Campus (FCAVJ). She is currently Full Professor of the Degree Course in Biological Sciences at the Federal University of Delta do Parnaíba, Coordinator of LAGEVEN (Plant Genetics and Teaching Laboratory) and the Biosaber Extension Project. Sub-Coordinator of NEPECBio (Research Center for Science and Biology Teaching) and member of BIOPAR (Research Center for Biological Diversity and Conservation at UFDPar) .
