Lilian Ried Miller Barros

Graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (1993) and Masters in Urban Environmental Structures (2001) by the same institution. In 2012, defended her doctoral thesis entitled "The unexpected color: a reflection on the creative uses of color," which involves a study of the meanings of color in contemporary visual discourses in light of the visual neurobiology and the discursive semiotics proposed by the . J. Greimas. Teaches postgraduate courses, lectures and workshops on the perception of color and composition in various institutions and companies in the country and directs the center for studies and research on color - Universo da Cor (www.universodacor.com.br) in São Paulo, who serves professionals in the areas of textile design, architecture and fashion. The book of her authorship - The color in the creative process - launched by Editora Senac in 2006, now in its fourth edition, is adopted as fundamental bibliography courses on composition of colors by several educational institutions.
