Sergio Ricardo Lessa Ortiz

Bachelor's at Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo (2005), Master's Degree nad Ph.D in Arts from University of São Paulo (2013/2020). He is a partner at the SLH Associated Architects firm. For 11 years, he was a partner at the Sergio Santana Planning and Landscape Design firm, responsible for the development of important landscape architecture and urbanism projects throughout the country. He is currently a professor at the Belas Artes University Center in São Paulo, one of the coordinators of the Architecture and Urbanism course and coordinator of the Postgraduate courses: Scenography and Costume Design, Interior Design, and Art Direction in Communication at this institution. He is a member of the Curatorial Body of the 15th Prague Quadrennial of Performance Design and Space in 2023, which received the Best Teamwork award. He is a member of ABAP - Brazilian Association of Landscape Architects; OISTAT (International Organization of Scenographers, Architects, and Theatre Technicians) and Grafias da Cena Brasil - Brazilian Association of Visualities, Spatialities, and Sonorities of the Scene. He is part of the National Bank of Evaluators of Higher Education (BaSis) linked to Sinaes (National System of Higher Education Evaluation) and INEP (National Institute for Studies and Educational Research Anísio Teixeira). He is a member of the Technical Evaluation and Monitoring Committee - CTAA in the Arts and Humanities area. He is a reviewer for the National Program to Support Culture - PRONAC (National Culture Fund and Tax Incentive) with the Ministry of Culture since 2015. He has experience in the fields of Architecture, Landscaping, Urbanism, and Arts, with an emphasis on Set and Costume Design, and Performance, focusing mainly on the following themes: architecture, urbanism, landscaping, scenography, set design, costume design, scene visualities, performance, theater, and Peter Brook.
