Annie Gisele Fernandes holds a B.A. in Literature from the State University of Campinas (Unicamp) (1993), where she also obtained her Masters in Literary Theory and History (1996). Ph.D. in Literature (Portuguese Literature) from the University of São Paulo (2001), with a scholarship by Fapesp. FAPESP also promoted twice (in 1997/1998 and 2000/2001) her ?Programa de Estágio e Aperfeiçoamento no Exterior,? which was held in Faculty of Arts, University of Lisbon. In 2002-2003 she did her Postdoctorate at the University of São Paulo, having participated in the Teacher Training Program for Newly Doctors, in which she taught the disciplines Portuguese Literature III and IV in the Literature Course. Once again with the support from FAPESP, she undertook two Post-docs at the New University of Lisbon (2008) and the University of Lisbon (2013). She is Associated Professor (2018) of the Faculty of Philosophy, Arts and Human Sciences at the University of São Paulo where, since 2003, she teaches courses in Undergraduate and Graduate Programs, directs research at IC level, MA, PhD, and oversees Postdoctoral research. She also participates as organizer and speaker of the extension programs and develops representation and coordination of activities. She is in charge of the Research Group ?Poetry and Writings of Modernity (poem)? and head researcher of the following projects: ?Mario's de Sá-Carneiro?s and Augusto dos Anjos? poetry and the writing of the self? and ?Camilo Pessanha and Cruz e Sousa: readings of French Symbolism and the Poetics of Modernity. She Coordinates the Laboratory for the Study of Poetics and Ethics in Modernity (LEPEM). She regularly publishes in Brazil and abroad in important journals and periodicals, and also dictionary and books. Her area of expertise is vernacular literature with the following focus: Poetry, Lyrical Modern, Nineteenth Century, Symbolism, the Orpheu generation. She is a member of the Casa da Escrita (Coimbra / Portugal) and the Research Group Lyra ComPoetics (UPorto). She was ?Bolsista de Produtividade em Pesquisa nivel 2? from CNPq, from 2014 to 2017.
