He holds a degree (2001), a master's degree (2003) and a doctorate (2007) in Electrical Engineering from the Julio Mesquita Filho University (2001), with a sandwich doctorate from the University of Castilla La Mancha-ES (2005). He works in the areas of planning and operation of electric energy transmission and distribution systems and the electric energy market. He is currently director and associate professor at the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, he served as President of the PES-Power & Energy Systems Chapter of the Rio Section of the IEEE from 2014 to 2017 and is a PQ-2 academic production fellow. He is a reviewer for journals such as IEEE Transactions on Power Systems, IET Generation, Electric Power System Research and IEEE Transactions on Smart Grid. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
