Bachelor in Civil Engineering (1983) and in Economics (1985) from Universidade de São Paulo, Master in Civil Engineering (1989) and Doctor in Transportation Engineering also from Universidade de São Paulo (1997). Post-doctoral research at the University of Illinois at Chicago, in collaboration with Prof.David Boyce (1998). Has experience in Transports Engineering, focusing on Planning and Operation of Transport Systems, acting on the following subjects: road safety, traffic engineering, models for transport planning, transport systems, public transport and passenger transport.
