I am is currently associate professor at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Statistics of the University of São Paulo, Brazil. I received my B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Statistics, all of them from the University of São Paulo. During 2018-2019, I was a visiting scholar at the University of Iowa and an ACTNext Fellow at ACT, in Iowa City, to develop a project related to educational assessment and deep learning. My research interests are mostly in latent variable models, especially in Item Response Theory, Cognitive Diagnostic Models, Computerized Adaptive Testing, and Deep Learning.
