Nelson Pires Feldberg

Bachelor degree in Agricultural Engineering at Unesp Jaboticabal (2000) and Master degree in Agronomy (Production Techniques) at Universidade Federal de Lavras (2006). He has worked as a researcher at APTA in Capão Bonito - SP and at EPAGRI Estação Experimental de Videira-SC. He was the Local Manager at Embrapa Produtos e Mercado Escritório de Canoinhas - SC and he is currently the Technical Coordinator of the Estação Experimental Canoinhas of the Embrapa Clima Temperado. He primarily works with the following crops: grapes, stone fruits, olives, native fruits, potatoes, arracacha, sweet potatoes, mate and araucaria. For those crops, he works in end phase of the breeding programs, testing the advanced clones and selections along with the main stakeholders for positioning new cultivars in the market. He also works in the organization of the nursery and seed industry, in the production of plant materials with superior phytosanitary quality and definition of rules and standards for plant material production.
