Bruno Rosas Mangueira

Bachelor, Master and Doctor in Music from the University of Campinas (2001, 2006, 2012), with a "sandwich" doctorate scholarship period at the University of Cincinnati (USA, 2011). He has conducted postdoctoral studies at the City University of New York (2020-2021). Bruno is a professor of Guitar, Harmony/Improvisation and Ensembles at the University of Brasilia, where he also coordinates the Guitar and Popular Music Lab and leads the Center for Studies in Popular Music. Mr. Mangueira has performed as a soloist with symphony orchestras and big bands in Brazil and abroad, and has released five CDs as a soloist, as well as participating on works of several artists. Bruno has experience in the area of Arts, with an emphasis on Brazilian and Jazz Music, participating on activities involving: electric and acoustic guitars, harmony, improvisation, arrangement, composition, music production, and research on popular music.
