Rodrigo Alvaro Brandão Lopes Martins

I am a researcher dedicated to integrating science, innovation, and technology applied to human health. I currently work as a Researcher at the Cancer Hospital of the Fundação Cristiano Varella and as a Research Professor and Coordinator of Scientific and Technological Innovation at Centro Universitário Redentor (Itaperuna, Brazil), where I conduct studies across multiple health research lines.I previously served as Full Professor at the Universidade Evangélica de Goiás, where I coordinated Graduate Programs and Research in Pharmacology and Health Technologies. I also held the position of Director of Scientific and Technological Innovation (20222024) and coordinated the university's Technological Innovation Center (NIT).I currently serve as Scientific Director at Zelotech Equipamentos and as Clinical Studies Coordinator at Tera Science, in addition to being Clinical Research Coordinator at Adoxy Equipamentos. I collaborate as a Full Professor in the Bioengineering Program at Universidade Brasil and act as an international lecturer and consultant in Photobiomodulation and Electrophysical Agents applied to Aesthetics and Musculoskeletal Disorders.My experience includes serving on the Advisory Board of the Business Incubator of Jacareí and contributing to the structuring of Technological Innovation Centers in several higher education institutions. I have led the Master's Program in Biomedical Engineering at UNIVAP and coordinated the Graduate Program in Biomedical Engineering at Universidade de Mogi das Cruzes.My academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), a Masters degree in Pharmacology from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP), a Ph.D. in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz), and a Postdoctoral fellowship in Biomedical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (USP). I also hold the title of Livre-Docente (tenure) from the School of Medical Sciences at UNICAMP.My scientific production focuses on Biomedical Engineering, with emphasis on low-level laser therapy, inflammatory musculoskeletal diseases, and the pathophysiology and pharmacology of joint and rheumatic disorders. I am the founder and Director of the Graduate Program in Biophotonics Applied to Health Sciences at Universidade Nove de Julho.
