Jose Roberto Shwafaty de Siqueira

Artist and researcher based in Brazil. Bachelor of Visual Arts (Unicamp, 2001), obtained a master's degree in visual arts and curatorial studies at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arte (Milan, 2010). Attended for the period of one year, as a guest student, the classes of Simon Starling in at hte Staedelschule (Frankfurt, 2011). Joine in 2012 PIESP, coordinated by Adriano pedrosa and Carla Zacagnini. His interests lie mainly in the encountering fields of design, critical practices, spatial politics, knowledge economy and visual culture. Acts as a visual artist, researcher, critic and teacher in the areas of drawing, sculpture, new media (video and photo) and history of contemporary art. He also works in related areas, such as graphic design, exhibition design and curating.
