Emerson Schwingel Ribeiro

Emerson Schwingel Ribeiro has completed his PhD and Master's degree in Inorganic Chemistry by the Institute of Chemistry of the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and his graduation in Chemistry by the Chemistry Department of the State University of Maringá (UEM). Coordinates the LaDANM Group: Laboratory of Development and Applications of New Materials. The LaDANM group acts basically in Inorganic Chemistry, with synthesis and characterization of new materials, such as: (1) Organofunctionalized silica gel. (2) Mixed oxides obtained by the sol-gel process. (3) Ceramic carbon materials, (4) Magnetic materials, etc.; and with the multidisciplinary research network, the materials developed are applied in different areas: (A) Electrochemistry/electroanalysis; (B) Sorbent materials; (C) Photocatalysis/photodegradation and photodynamic therapy, (D) Pre-treatments in the coating system, etc. He has published dozens of articles in specialized journals with selective editorial politics. Currently is Full Professor of the Institute of Chemistry of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
