Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Cambridge (20152019), currently serves as a principal scientist at Harness Therapeutics, working in the development of RNA-based therapies (antisense oligonucleotides, ASOs) for the treatment of rare neurodegenerative diseases. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Bahia UFBA (20082011) and a Master's degree in Allergy and Immunopathology from the University of São Paulo USP (20122014). She was an undergraduate fellow at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation FIOCRUZ/BA (20082011), studying protein biochemistry and immunomodulation strategies in Leishmania infection.During her master's, she worked in the fields of immunology and molecular biology of parasitic diseases, with a focus on gene expression regulation by microRNAs in acute and chronic Chagas disease. During her Ph.D., she focused on projects in the field of epitranscriptomics, exploring the role of RNA modifications in the physiology of *C. elegans*, using technologies such as CRISPR/Cas9, bisulfite sequencing, and ribosome profiling. Additionally, she collaborated on projects investigating the physiological relevance of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in *C. elegans* and RNA transmission via royal jelly in bees.
