Ministério da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento (Brasil). Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (EMBRAPA). Embrapa Instrumentação Agropecuária  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

Graduated in Bachelor of Chemistry from the Federal University of Uberlândia (1996), master's (1999) and doctorate (2003) in Chemistry (Physical Chemistry) from the University of São Paulo at the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos - SP. In the master's it was studied the production of absorbent materials from sugarcane bagasse in order to increase the hydrophilic property. In the doctorate it was studied the production of biodegradable plastics from starch and wood and non-wood compounds in order to increase the hydrophobic property. He worked at Faber Castell (2003) in São Carlos where it was developed research aimed at increasing the dimensional stability of wood used in the manufacture of various products, such as the pencils. In the post-doctorate (2004) by Embrapa-CNPDIA-São Carlos - SP he carried out studies on the interaction of bacteria (E. coli and Salmonella) with thin biofilms formed by the Self-assemble technique for the development of sensors in the electronic language project. From 2005 he joined as an adjunct professor at the Federal University of Acre where he worked until February 2011 and then started activities at the Federal University of Triângulo Mineiro in Uberaba - MG. He have been developed research projects with magnetic ferrites, conductive polymers, graphene and derivatives, vegetable macromolecules and synthetic polymers. The researches aim at applications in water decontamination, purification of biofuels, biodegradable packaging, chemical sensor and applications in green-energy in super capacitors. In partnership with the company Vitae Rural, chemical formulations using Baculovirus were developed to be applied to combat pests in corn, soybean plantations, among others. Coordinates the NETWORK entitled "Minas Gerais Network of Translational Nanobioplatforms" with research applied to Agribusiness and in the Health area, approved by FAPEMIG in 2023, , celebrating a partnership with a Minas Gerais company and higher education institutions (UFTM, UFU, IFTM, UFJVM and UFAL). With the aim of achieving goals involving the production of fertilizers, green fertilizers and chemical sensors for detecting various substances in the areas of Agribusiness and Health.
