Birthplace: Argentina

Graduated in Physics from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (Argentina, 1989) and holding a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of São Paulo (1998), I have been a faculty member at the Institute of Physics of the University of São Paulo (USP) since 2004, and was awarded the title of Livre-Docente (Associate Professor) in 2014. My academic and scientific work is focused on Solid State Physics, with an emphasis on the magnetic and electric properties of nanostructured materials.I conduct experimental studies and computational modeling of low-dimensional magnetic systems, such as nanoparticles, nanowires, and thin films, investigating mesoscopic phenomena mediated by magnetic interactions, including hysteresis, exchange bias, and magnetotransport. My research also explores magneto-capacitive properties and quantum capacitance in complex heterostructures.I coordinate research projects with active international collaborations and participate in research networks such as the INCT SpinNanoMag. I am the author of over 100 scientific articles in my field of study. In parallel, I organize and engage in cultural and outreach activities that reflect a strong commitment to the dissemination of scientific knowledge, the strengthening of the public university as a space for dialogue with society, and the promotion of holistic education fostering intellectual, critical, and civic development for students and the broader community.
