Jean Rodrigo Garcia

Professor at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), working in undergraduate and graduate teaching in Civil Engineering. Coordinates research projects funded by FAPEMIG and CNPq, in addition to developing outreach activities and consulting in geotechnical engineering. Author of the book Engenharia de Fundações (2020) and editor of the book Patologia das Construções (2024), both published by LTC-GEN. Responsible for the updated editions of the classic works by Homero Pinto Caputo: Mecânica dos Solos Teoria e Aplicações (2022) and Mecânica dos Solos Obras de Terra e Fundações (2022). Has published several scientific papers in national and international journals and conferences, and serves as a reviewer for leading journals in the field. Served as Chair (20232024) and Secretary (20192022) of the Foundations Technical Committee of ABMS. Currently Associate Editor of the Revista Brasileira de Engenharia Civil and Editorial Board Member of Soils and Rocks. Member of ABMS and the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE). Holds a degree in Civil Engineering from UNESP and a master's and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from UNICAMP. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
