Paula Cristina Somenzari Almozara is a visual artist and researcher. She is currently a Research Collaborator at the Institute of Arts at Unicamp. She was a CNPq Research Productivity Scholarship from 2019 to 2025. From 2006 to 2023, she was a researcher and professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas, working at the School of Architecture, Arts, and Design at the Faculty of Visual Arts and the Post-Graduation in Languages, Media, and Art. Postdoctoral studies at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, under the supervision of Graciela Machado, with a scholarship by FAPESP (Process: 21/13582-4). She worked as a Visiting Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, at the School of Administration, Communication and Tourism (EsACT), Mirandela campus, from Feb/2022 to June/2022. From 2016 to 2018, she was the Coordinator of the Stricto Sensu Postgraduate Program in Languages, Media, and Art-Master. From 2014-2018 she was the Coordinator of the Research and Extension Center of the Language and Communication Center at PUC-Campinas. She developed a research project entitled "Path and memory: the fragmented landscape" with Research Grant - Regular from FAPESP, in the total amount of 163,480.54 (Process: 17/17112-7) from 2018 to 2019, configuring the implementation of a Production, and Research Laboratory in Contemporary Art at PPG-PUC-Campinas. She carried out a Short-Term Research Internship at the University of Porto, Faculty of Fine Arts, Institute of Research in Arts, Design, and Society, with an activity plan linked to the Fapesp 2017/17112-07 process. Ad Hoc Advisor at Fapesp since 2010. Member of the National Association of Researchers in Plastic Arts Board of Directors - ANPAP (1st Secretary) for the 2017-2018 biennium. She was the Coordinator of the International Degree Program, Edital Capes 008/2012, of Visual Arts at the Faculty of Visual Arts at PUC-Campinas / Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Lisbon, Portugal (Project 066/2012). She worked from 2007 to 2009 as a guest professor of the ART-120 Specialization in Visual Arts course at IA-Unicamp. She completed her Doctorate in Education (Bolsa Capes) in Education, Knowledge, Language, and Art at the State University of Campinas in 2005. and Masters in Visual Arts (Bolsa Fapesp) at Unicamp in 1997, where he developed visual poetic work and research on the history of drawing. It has several publications of artist albums and books, as well as visual arts exhibitions emphasizing graphic procedures, painting, photography, video, and installation. She works in Arts with Contemporary Visual Poetics.
