As a researcher my focus is the study of the effects of long term administration of Genistein on hematopoietic stem cells to promote resilience against genomic instability that can contribute to mutations involved in myeloproliferative diseases. I have accumulated during the past years extensive training and knowledge in the fields of experimental hematology, pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology and immunology. I am also proficient on animal work, having established the mice colony used in my projects. Among all the routine techniques that I have acquired during years of working with mice, such as breeding schemes, genotyping, injections, bleeding and bone marrow transplants, I also mastered assays like competitive bone marrow transplant models, hematopoietic stem cell isolation, culture and differentiation. I m particularly proficient on advanced flow cytometry analysis and sorting. I also have gain expertise on techniques such Hematopoietic Stem Cells function analyses, blood and bone marrow differentials of mice and human as SNP and CGH Array analysis, FISH, Immunostains.
