Professor in the undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Physical Education at the State University of Campinas. He obtained his PhD in Sciences from the EEFE of the University of São Paulo in 2013. He holds a master's degree in Physical Education (2007), a licentiate degree (2005), and a bachelor's degree in Physical Education (2003) from the Federal Education Foundation (FEF) at the State University of Campinas (UNICAMP). He currently serves as the coordinator of the Study and Research Group on Sport and Humanities (GEPEH) and the vice-coordinator of the Study and Research Group on Football, both at the State University of Campinas. He is a member of the Ibero-American Football Studies Network, which involves researchers from Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Costa Rica, Portugal, and France. He is affiliated with LUDENS (Interdisciplinary Center for Studies on Football and Recreational Modalities) at the University of São Paulo.He also serves as an editor for the Ludopédio website (www.ludopedio.org.br).
