Synadenium grantii popularly known as "leiterinha" or "janaúba" is an euphorbiaceous shrub, native from West Africa, predominantly found in tropical and humid regions; rich in biologically active compounds such as flavonoids, alkaloids, lectins, esters, terpenes and others.
