Master degree in music composition at City University of New York (CUNY) in 2006. Lived in NYC for 9 years (1999-2008), working as a producer, arranger ans musician. While in NYC, he formed a quintet called "Choro Ensemble", with whom he performed at the Carnegie Hall in the 22nd of October, 2004. The "Choro Ensemble" released three CDs: "Choro Ensemble" (Circular Moves, 2004), "Choro Ensemble Vol. II (Independent, 2006) and "Nosso Tempo" (Anzic Records, 2007) : Moved back to Brazil inmay, 2008. In 2011 he got a professor position at Faculdade de Musica Souza Lima/Berklee. In 2012 he realeases a book called "Choro: Basic concepts for interpretation and improvisation", published by Editora Souza Lima. In 2014, the same book is published in Europe, Japan ans USA by Advance Music Publishers. Also in 2012 he releases a CD called "Cavaquinho de Ouro", a project dedicated to 19th century Choro composers who payed the cavaquinho, sponsored by São Paulo City Council through a program called VAI (Valorization of Cultural Iniciatives). In march, 2017 he releases a CD called "Bolo de Fubá" (Trattore Records, 2017) with Trio Choro Moderno, a project with original compositions based on the Choro genre. Pedro Ramos recorded and/or performed with artists such as Paquito D'Rivera, Wynton Marsalis, Paulo Moura, Romero Lubambo, Anat Cohen, Henrique Cazes, among others. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
