Fabio Augusto do Amaral

PhD in Sciences, emphasis in Electrochemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos (2005), Master's degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of São Carlos (2001), Bachelor's degree in Chemistry with Technological Attributions (1997) and graduation in Chemistry from the University Federal of São Carlos (2001). He is currently director of the Institute of Chemistry (January 2021) and associate professor 4 at the Federal University of Uberlândia (March 2010), working in the teaching of Chemistry for the courses of Industrial Chemistry/Degree in Chemistry and Environmental and Sanitary Engineering, working in the Graduate Program in Environmental Quality. He is coordinator of the Laboratory of Energy and Effluent Treatment-LAETE-IQUFU. He has experience in the area of renewable sources, with emphasis on the synthesis of natural coagulants from agricultural waste for application in the treatment of industrial effluents and in electrochemistry, in the area of energy storage, composite materials and electrochemical sensors.
