Prof. Seixas holds a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho-UNESP (1995), master's degree in Physics from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho-UNESP (1998) and PhD in Molecular Biophysics from Universidade Estadual Paulista Júlio de Mesquita Filho-UNESP (2002). He is currently an associate professor in the Department of Technology at the State University of Maringá-UEM and advisor for the Postgraduate programs in Cellular and Molecular Biology (PBC), Sustainable Production and Animal Health (PPS) and Pharmaceutical Sciences (PCF), all at UEM. He has experience in the field of #8203;#8203;Molecular Biophysics, working mainly on the topics: Drug development, Protein purification, Biophysical chemistry of macromolecules, Modeling and simulations applied to the study of biological macromolecules. He has published four books, and more than 100 scientific papers in national and international journals. He also coordinates an extension project focused on the physical-chemical analysis of biological compounds.
