Sara Cuadros Orellana

Graduated in Biological Sciences and MSc in Genetics from the University of São Paulo. PhD in Food Science (emphasis in Genetics of Microorganisms) from the State University of Campinas. Doctoral internship at the University of Pennsylvania, studying protein translocation mechanisms in prokaryotes. Postdoctoral Associate in Microbial Ecology and Evolutionary Genomics at the Universidad Miguel Hernández, Spain. Coordinated research projects funded by CNPq, FAPITEC and Banco do Nordeste. Organized three editions of the International Workshop on Environmental Microbiology. Full Professor at the University Tiradentes between 2006 and 2009. Associate Professor at the Federal University of Pará. Main research interests include Microbial Genetics, Genomics, Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics. Worked as a Visiting Specialist at the René Rachou Research Center (FIOCRUZ-Minas) from 2010 to 2016, and currently holds a Full Professor position at the Catholic University of Maule, Chile.
