Birthplace: Brazil

Vitor Hugo Polisel Pacces is a professor and researcher at the University of São Paulo, where he teaches courses focused on Quality Management Systems. Among these, the following stand out: Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Quality Management Tools (including validation of methodologies, computer systems, uncertainty calculation and calibration), Quality Management Systems applied to the areas of Health and Environment, and Introduction to Quality Management Systems (with a specific approach in GMP for the food sector). He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (1996) and in Systems Analysis and Development (2017); he holds a Master's and a PhD in Sciences, with a specialization in Analytical Chemistry, from the University of São Paulo (2005). For over 20 years, he served as Executive Director of the Foundation for the Support of Physics and Chemistry, coordinating research and development projects in partnership with the public and private sectors. Between 2008 and 2015, he developed initiatives in collaboration with CNPq and the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply, focused on auditing, implementing and improving management and management processes based on the ISO/IEC 17025 standard, in addition to promoting advances in the validation of methodologies at the National Agricultural Laboratories of São Paulo (LFDA/SP). At the University of São Paulo, between 2002 and 2008, he was responsible for quality management in the implementation of management processes based on the ISO/IEC 17025 and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) standards. He is the author of the books "Practical Guide for Your Computer", "Validation of Methods for Food Analysis: Focus on Centesimal Analysis" and "Practical Application of Concepts for Guaranteeing the Validity of Results with a Focus on ISO/IEC 17025". His main research focus is the development of computational tools for quality and chemistry management systems, and he holds patents registered with the INPI on these topics. His experience in the area of #8203;#8203;Chemistry covers Quality Management Systems in laboratories, with emphasis on topics such as: Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), ISO/IEC 17025, validation of analytical methodologies, development of tools for analytical chemistry and quality systems, software development and chromatography. In the private sector, he is a founding partner of the company ConfLab, where he works on the development of software dedicated to the validation of analytical methods, calculation of measurement uncertainty and assurance of the validity of results. In addition, he is certified by CTAL/INMETRO as a laboratory evaluator based on the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
