Researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation - Embrapa Cerrados and professor at PROPAGA/FAV/UnB. Animal Scientist graduated from the Universidade Federal de Lavras (UFLA) in 1995. Master's degree in Animal Science (Ruminant Nutrition) [UFV] from the Federal University of Viçosa in 1998. PhD in Animal Science (Animal Production) [Unesp-Jaboticabal] from the São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho in 2002. Works in the area of Animal Science-Ruminant Nutrition-Forage and pastures, with an emphasis on agroecology and Organic Animal Production Systems (Milk, Meat and Eggs). Member of the National Commission for Organic Livestock and Agroecology of the Federal Council of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science-CFMV. He has published 69 articles in specialized journals, 2 technical books, 22 book chapters and 186 papers in event proceedings. He has taught 62 courses and given 83 lectures on organic animal production systems. He has participated in 6 events abroad and 38 in Brazil. Currently coordinates the research projects "Accelerated weathering of silicate agrominerals in pasture soil in the Federal District" and the teaching project "Organic Food Production Chain". Leading the research activities "Nutritional balance between soil, plant, and animal of the Agroforestry System-SAF Milk and Honey project"; "Strategic monitoring of technologies to optimize the use of pasture areas in the Cerrado" and "Impact assessment of technological reference units with management in an agrosilvopastoral system" of the project Intensification of agricultural production in areas with pastures in the process of degradation in the Central-West region. In the RDI Network projects on remineralizers and agrominerals (REMAg) and Technology for managing mine waste as mineral inputs for agricultural soil fertility, co-financed by FINEP and VALE S.A., respectively, he coordinates the activity "Agronomic evaluation of regional remineralizers and agrominerals in pastures and different production systems." .
