Professor at the Institute of History at UFRJ. She works in the areas of Ancient History and Theory and Philosophy of History, focusing on the history of women. She holds a degree in History from the Fluminense Federal University (1990), a Master's in History from the Fluminense Federal University (1994), a PhD in Social History (2000) and a postdoctoral degree in Archeology from the University of São Paulo (2007). She is a researcher at the Ancient History Laboratory (UFRJ) and associated with the Ancient City Studies Laboratory (LABECA MAE-USP). She leads the Center for Studies in History and Philosophy (IH-UFRJ), working in the lines of research history and historiography of Greek Antiquity and the comparative history of women.
