Universidade de São Paulo (USP). Instituto Oceanográfico (IO)  (Institutional affiliation from the last research proposal)
Birthplace: Brazil

I am a Geological Engineer (UFOP), Master in Remote Sensing (INPE), and Ph.D. in Geological Oceanography (IOUSP). Currently, I am a professor at the Federal University of Amapá (UNIFAP), working in the fields of geoprocessing, remote sensing, and coastal oceanography. My research focuses on the application of optical and radar remote sensing technologies for the identification and analysis of coastal and oceanic phenomena, including the Amazon River plume dynamics, coastal hydrodynamics, sedimentation, environmental vulnerability, and anthropogenic impacts. I have experience in orbital data analysis and spatial modeling, integrating these methods for the monitoring of natural and anthropogenic threats in the Amazon coastal zone. In addition to my academic work, I collaborate with scientific initiatives focused on environmental management and marine conservation, aiming to improve monitoring techniques for the estuarine region and strengthen citizen science efforts in the Amazon River mouth system.
