Gustavo Nunes de Oliveira earned his medical degree from the State University of Campinas in 2000 and completed a medical residency in general and community medicine in 2002. He obtained a Masters degree in Public Health in 2007 and a Ph.D. in Public Health in 2011 from the Department of Public Health at the School of Medical Sciences, UNICAMP. In 2025, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Sociology, with a concentration in Science, Technology, and Society. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Federal University of São Carlos. His work focuses on the field of Public Health, with an emphasis on Epistemologies of Care in Health, Comprehensive Health Care, Public Policy, and Health Management and Evaluation. He is the Coordinator of the CNPq research group Canoa Center for Studies in Epistemologies of Care. (Source: Lattes Curriculum)
