Dr. Rafael Moreira Soares holds a bachelor's degree in Agronomy from the University of Passo Fundo (1994), a master's degree (1997), and a doctorate (2001) in Agronomy specializing in Plant Protection from São Paulo State University Júlio de Mesquita Filho (UNESP). He worked at the Agricultural Research Foundation of Rio Grande do Sul (Fepagro) between 2002 and 2004, and since 2004 has been a researcher at the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa Soja). He has experience in Agronomy, with an emphasis on Phytopathology, primarily conducting research on disease management in soybean (Glycine max), focusing on the development of disease-resistant cultivars and spraying for chemical disease control, with a focus on the use of agricultural drones for spraying.
