Jarem Raul Garcia

Associate Professor at the State University of Ponta Grossa. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (1994), a Master's (1997) and a Doctor (2002) in Sciences, both with an emphasis on Physical-Chemistry, this training, carried out in the Institute of Chemistry of São Carlos / USP. He did post-doctoral internships in the Materials Engineering Department at UFSCar, in the area of Refractory Ceramic Materials in 2004-2005 and, in 2013-2014, at the School of Chemistry at Monash University in Melboune, Australia, under the supervision of Prof Emeritus Alan M. Bond, in the area of Electrochemical Supercapacitors. He coordinates the Energy Generation and Storage and Surface Treatment Group at UEPG and acts as a supervisor in the Chemistry Graduate Program / UEPG, participating in the training of masters, doctors and in the supervision of postdoctoral internships. Works developing research and innovation activities on topics such as: preparation of innovative materials applied to catalysis and photovoltaic devices, development of electrochemical devices for energy storage, reuse of waste material, treatment and protection of metallic surfaces, preparation of electrochemical sensors and synthesis and evaluation of molecules applied as drugs. He currently works as a guest researcher with the company Grafeno no Brasil Tecnologias Ltda.
